PP-R water pipes and installations made from them differ from other systems in the way the components are joined. Polypropylene pipe can be welded, that is, joined permanently without the presence of other substances. This connection is characterized by the fact that the entire installation becomes a homogeneous body that reacts to temperature changes together. The connections are durable and do not leak, as no glue or sealant is used. Plastic pipes are resistant to all chemical contaminants, hence they can be used without difficulty for closed-circuit central heating and DHW installations, where it is not possible to interfere with the composition of the water. PP welded pipe is very flexible, so it is easy to bend and install it even in areas that require exceptional treatment. Plastic welded water pipes made of polypropylene are characterized by high temperature expansion, that is, they strongly deform under the influence of temperature. Thus, for the installation of hot water pipes of uniform PP should be used with caution, that is, you should remember to use lagging and appropriate compensation, especially for long, straight sections. Installation is very easy. All it takes is a little reading and practice to be able to do it yourself. Longer training is required before welding pipes of smaller diameters. PP-R 16 mm pipe, heated too long, can collapse in the middle and reduce the clearance. The main advantages of PP-R installation are ease of installation, temperature resistance, total resistance to chemical agents in water, mechanical strength of pipes and connections, and low price.

  • PN pipes 16 – cold water to 20 ° C and 10 bar, and hot water to 60 ° C and 6 bar
