Terra V-series manifold chamber is a modern solution designed for advanced projects based on renewable energy sources. The ground heat source manifold is housed in a special, proprietary chamber developed by engineers from the PRAWTECH GEOTHERMAL group. The Terra V-series hydraulic manifold consists of two collector beams made of PE100/RC material with appropriate outlets (referred to as ground heat source sections). The characteristic feature of this product is its angular arrangement of collector manifolds installed in the chamber. The supply and return beams of the manifold have a V-shaped design, making the product highly ergonomic and easy to service. This solution also optimises the hydraulic parameters of the designed installation.
All PRAWTECH manifold chambers are equipped as standard with 40mm ground heat source sections. The inlet pipe diameter is 63 mm for chambers with 2–6 sections, 90 mm for chambers with 2–14 sections, and 110 mm for larger systems.
PRAWTECH manifold chambers are delivered to the customer only after successfully passing pressure and flow tests in accordance with the in-house quality control procedure.
The Prawtech Series R ground heat source hydraulic manifold consists of two collector beams made of HDPE100/RC material with outlets (referred to as ground heat source sections):
– Supply collector beam is equipped on each section with brass linear flow meters with a range of 8–38 l/min. The rotameters enable flow regulation and reading, as well as shut-off of a given geothermal installation section via a ball valve integrated into the flow meter body.
– Return collector beam is equipped on each section with a ¾” shut-off ball valve (MINI and OPTI chambers) or 1″ in the PRO body. The beam enables complete individual shut-off of each ground heat source circuit.
Optimal and required flow adjustment must be made exclusively through rotameter regulation. Valves are used for flow shut-off only.
Each collector beam of the TERRA manifold chambers is equipped with a ¾” GW type venting/filling valve section for systems from 2 to 6 sections, and 1″ for larger systems. This section allows for effective flushing, filling and venting of the ground heat source system.
Valves and flow meters are mounted in the manifold in a manner that allows their replacement. Brass elements are integrated with the plastic part of the system using disconnectable fittings, the disassembly of which provides access for service operations such as element replacement or inspection.
Investment-grade TERRA V-series and PRO COMBO chambers are designed for large and medium capacity installations. To enhance the comfort and safety of operating the ground heat source hydraulic system, PRO series chambers are equipped with a section of DN100 butterfly valves mounted on the collector beams (supply and return). The valves allow the entire hydraulic manifold, together with the heat exchanger field, to be isolated from the inlet pipes and the heat pump plant room.
Terra UNI cascade chambers are a specialised product line dedicated to serving complex and distributed ground heat source systems. Their purpose is to integrate designed borehole fields through a central connection of individual manifold chambers. UNI cascade chambers are compatible with the full range of PRAWTECH production chambers: MINI, OPTI and PRO. They are therefore available in three standard configurations, with valves and connections DN 50 (63mm section pipes), DN 80 (90mm section pipes), or DN 100 (110mm section pipes).
